The problem so many brothers and sisters do not grasp is that our will is in bondage to sin from birth. Unless or until God changes the heart, causes someone to be born again and regenerate, they are unable to be free from that bondage to sin.🙏❤️.

Did Adam and Eve have libertarian free will?

Romans 5:2 says that Faith precedes Grace and Ephesians 2:8 also says that Grace is through Faith. And doesn't Romans 14:23 say "whatever is not from Faith, is sin?"

Seems to really deflate Sproul's take on free will if mankind needs to believe before God sovereignly provides grace where he believes we need grace in order to have Faith. But it appears Adam and Eve clearly had free will (unless God sovereignly caused them to sin and then punished them for it) and we need faith before grace, according to scripture. Sproul has to presume that humans have total inability in order to support his version of "free" will but the bible appears to say otherwise.

How then can you explain what Rev. 3 that says, I stand at the door and knocks, whoever hears my voice and open the door, I will come in and have supper with So God does not force himself to mankind but He will give us enough grace to be saved. Again, it starts with our decision to accept Jesus or not. Although we are sinful by nature, God is gracious to save us is we acknowledge Him.
