Literally the best explanation I’ve ever heard.

I have been saying for years the issue is not free will as we are slaves to sin but when God calls us He changes our inclination and we receive FREEDOM from sin and become slaves to Christ. So whose slave are you and is it free will you want or FREEDOM?

Our wills are in bondage to our nature. It must choose and can only choose what our nature is. If our nature is sinful then our wills will choose only sinful things. But if our nature has been made holy by being born again then the will can choose holy things.

God does not change our will. He changes our nature, which changee our will. As it says in Romans 8:5

for they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
