I suggest using a second wrench to stabilize the fixed side of the piping when torqueing down. Otherwise you risk breaking something.

I was wondering why if your using csst gas pipe would you still need the flexible gas pipe. We use steel pipe all the way to meter looks better, yet csst installs faster and proven to function just as good. Yet the flexible line is just a vibration damper, when using rigid steel pipe. Yet csst can handle vibration. Is it local code? Generac gives the option of using. Yet it does help with final connection

I’m worried about a natural gas line I ran for a generac 24k generator. I ran a 1” pipe and the generator is like about 60’ away from the meter. The worst part is that they poured a sidewalk over the gas line. I have a feeling it will be fine but I’m still worried. I don’t even want to connect this thing, don’t have the experience working with generators, I just do plumbing.

Looks good. I am probably going to get a Generac 24KW. Do you know what is a fair price range to have a certified contractor run the gas line from the generator to the gas meter? It will be anywhere from 7--8 ft between the generator and my gas meter? What important question(s) should I ask the contractor when he is running the gas line? I live in GA.

Is a secondary regulator necessary before the unit. I'm using a 2# meter with an 85 ft. run between them. The installer put one in and my unit won't run.
