Do I need to buy a propane tank or is it tapped off at the meter?

Here in Canada it is 3ft from gas meter. This wouldn't fly. Take a sledge, knock down that section of brick at the end and move the gen down a couple more feet.

as someone who worked for a large Generac dealer near 25 years I have to point out there is a major code violation here. (NFPA code) The unit needs to be installed MORE than 5 feet away from the gas meter!
