I have this generator for a few years and it’s served me well. I have approximately 25 hours on it. I just pulled it out to make sure everything is fine for our hurricane season here down south. When it’s running, it has a lope or surging of the engine. It’s not the normal quiet smooth sounding engine it should be. Even after letting it idle to warm up for about 30 minutes. I plugged in a large fan and it powered it with no rpm increase. I then plugged in a circular saw and the RPM’s did increase as expected, then idled back down with the same surging at idle. Another load was put on it and it almost bottomed out and shut off. I’m thinking about cleaning the carburetor to see if that helps. As far as I’m aware, it’s only seen non ethanol fuel. Anything else I should check or clean?

Got green light with check engine oil good air good change fuel which didn’t look bad anybody got ideas
