We thought we had purchased a quality product. However, we since installation are inundated with sales pitches urging extended warranty. Is Generac problematic to the point we need to worry? Or, is it a protection racket? At this point, we wish we'd gone with Cummins as did my neighbor who sings praises of his experience. With Generac's endless hounding, we truly are experiencing buyer's remorse.

I hate these generators. My neighbor has one and even when not in use they cut on and run for at least 30 minutes every two weeks. Running one for a day can cost over $50.00 so that thing cutting on all the time to make sure it is still running right is a waste of money and a big annoyance. You better put it on a high slab so when it floods it will not ruin the generator.
