As I'm sitting here watching this video. I'm just in tears. because every single thing you're saying is my life right now. we lost our oldest son to a car accident about 6 years ago and I thought that my weight gain was from depression and stress. because my eating habits have not changed. I just turned 50 last year. And I know everyone gains weight when they get older. But I've been struggling with this for years and can't figure it out.I also have hypothyroidism and Hashimoto's. Add have had several miscarriages back in the day and no one could ever figure out why. I have been trying to do some research. And I think that I need to add walking into my daily life. I would love to know what workout you use to tone. because I am noticing that normal everyday things are getting hard. . I totally understand that not being able to bend grave and tie your shoes. But you're not obese but yet the simple things you could do before because of the weight gain are hard now. and when you talk to people about it, they look at you funny because again you're not 250 pounds. But yet your body has changed so much that it's not itself. But they think you're crazy.

You’re probably on the leading edge of perimenopause. Your symptoms are spot on to mine. I have found information from Dr. Stacy Sims to be hugely valuable. She also teaches that women in menopause need to eat and exercise differently. I am feeling better with her advice on nutrition and exercise.

Wow this is so similar to what I have experienced and I am the same age as you as well. We have talked at church a few times about this (Hi! This is Karin Scott…Judy and Dave are my parents 😊), but I also have hypothyroidism and used to have Hashimoto’s too. I definitely need to incorporate weight training into my life. I saw Courtney Hasseman, a local female hormone specialist, and she encouraged me to start weight lifting too. So I need to get on it! Oh and my birthday is May 7…so I’m sorry that date brings up stressful memories. 😊 Thank you for sharing your journey, it’s encouraging to hear that you have been successful in shedding some unwanted weight!

I enjoy classical stretch, but would like to add strength training as well. What program do you use, ?

You need to stop being lazy and get your kids to regular school so they can interact with other children, to grow and evolve in life, what you are doing is good for YOU not for them. good luck with your weigh loss journey.
