Hey Daniel! I had a video idea that i think would be interesting to see: when to use points/miles and when to opt for paying cash. I found myself trying to book a trip to japan recently and the worry about "wasting" points by redeem at low rates is very real. Thank You!

I'm terrible at "burning" the points. And it got worse during COVID. I'm hoarding way, way too many points. Especially Hilton & Marriott points (I personally feel like Hilton are the worst points on the market....). But hopefully we'll start traveling again soon and can use up some of the balance b4 the brands devalue them yet again.

Hey Daniel! what do you think about the green amex for an intermediate credit card

One important thing to remember with points is not to hold onto the points indefinitely as they tend to devalue. Knowing when and how to use them is half the game. Good summary as usual and thanks.

As a general rule I like "dollars" as a reward, the company can manipulate the "points". Goes back to the old Green Stamp days. Remember helping ma lick those stamps for the new toaster?

Have you got any up to date videos tracking the vanishing _extended warranty_ benefit?

have no idea why ppl play these credit card games, makes zero sense to me, get 50 credit cards for a free room once a year, in the meantime wreck your credit score…

On that last point, earn and burn. This will vary person to person. Low earners who don't have a lot of points to begin with, perhaps stretch the burn a bit.

For mid to high earners, absolutely use the points.

Hey Daniel. I love this video! Not only does it impart valuable wisdom to newbies to the credit card game, but it is also a creative approach that I haven’t seen any other YouTuber use. Excellent job!

Hey Daniel, have you considered making a video on PayPal? My PayPal Mastercard gets me 2% back on all purchases and 3% back when paying with PayPal is an option. I know they go through a bank and aren't one themselves. I also have a debit card that gives me 5% back on gas (the category I chose). Plus, their savings account offers 4.3% APY with no stipulations (min balance, etc). I'm not sure if there are any downsides. It does take a while to transfer money from my bank right now, and I'm thinking about having my paycheck deposited directly into my PayPal account.

There's only 2 cards I need. The Citi Bank Costco card because it offers 4% cash back on Costco Gas (the only gas I buy personally) and an AMEX Credit card because it offers 6% cash back on Groceries.

Reading all these stories about the use of credit cards is hilarious. I can’t believe y’all are jumping thru hoops for these companies. Absolutely stupid. There is one thing I do like about credit cards. They help your net worth A LOT! 😂

Saved my points for 2 years. They're fully paying for my flight and hotel to go to japan next month! After that gonna start saving them for a trip to Europe. Probably gonna spend most of my time in Portugal and Spain.

Do you think there are any credit cards that you don’t know about that would be worth getting? Like is that even possible or do you literally know of every best card for everything. For example. I’m looking for no annual fee specific category cards that are high percentage. The custom cash where you get 5% on your top category is great. I have been looking for others at 4 or 5% on a category of my choice, but haven’t been able to find one. I am about to apply for the TD Cash Credit card where I can chose any category of my choosing to get 3% and another to get 2% but that just doesn’t excite me much. Do you know of anything?

I use two credit cards for flying points, pay each one in full every month. Cards work for me!

is there an app or a way that tells you what day to pay each credit to avoid having any balance on the statement closing day? I haven't quite figured out how to stay confident with that.

Top 1%... I do love those business class flights... but got 2.3 cpp on economy flight for 7 to Peru. Not my best CPP redemption but taking my parents, mother in law, wife and kids to Peru.... priceless.
