New Kings and Generals short will describe how the Concentrated Center tactic was used in the Ancient world to defeat opponents. This tactic was most famously implemented during the battle of Tegyra, where The Thebans defeated the Spartans, and at Chaeronea, where Philip of Macedon ordered his son Alexandr to break the Athenian center.

I feel Philip's concentrated center was less of that but a controlled retreat to allow a reserve unit of cavalry to swing around the open gap instead of smashing it open with brute force.

Next video is gonna be about the formation with the Sacred Band in the middle and chariots in the flanks, with the chariots winning and collapsing into the middle. This tactic is known as the "Sacred Band with Chariots", or Sandwich in short, which is the origin of the word sandwich today.
