"Blitzkrieg" is a post war term made by allied press. Germans never used it, but instead described their way of fighting as "Bewegungskrieg", which can be translated to "Manouvering Warfare".

Worth noting that the Germans during WW2 called it Bewegungskrieg, meaning "war of movement." This is in contrast to what happened during much of WW1, which was Stellungskrieg, meaning "war of position"

South African Defence Force used this strategy a lot in Angola against Soviet backed troops... There's even instances where IFVs would dash for hundreds of kilometres inside the enemy territory without stopping to hit targets and dash out of the country even before the enemy could mount a counter attack.

In 1737, Marathas under Bajirao I raided the suburbs of Delhi in a blitzkrieg in the Battle of Delhi (1737).[32][33] The Nizam set out from the Deccan to rescue the Mughals from the invasion of the Marathas, but was defeated decisively in the Battle of Bhopal.

Shwerpunkt is not the defender's Center of Gravity. It is the attacker's Center of Focus. It usually targets the enemy's weak point, not strongest point.

Ah Clausewitz, dude was so far ahead of his time. On War is a fascinating read.

Fact: Central Asian Nomadic warriors were using this tactic so wildly until the Germans replaced the horses with tanks.

Fun Fact: Hautier tactics named after a German General in WWI were the predecessors of the German Blitzkrieg that would come a generation later.

I would love it if this short would be a hint to your intention to start a second WW2 series with the focal point of Europa and Africa

Fun fact: blitzkrieg would not have been possible without the help of General Motors.
