Philip 2nd is soo fucking underrated. There is a reason he was assassinated, cuz whole Persia was scared as shit of him.
He transformed a burning kingdom, into the most powerful kingdom in history of Greece. Not only that, he unified whole Greece as first person ever and he came up with all those genius tactics Alexander used later on.

I use this in every strategy game possible and it mostly always works

Apparently the Kenyan army used this tactic to take the city of Kismayu with the navy and infantry playing the parts of hammer and anvil, hence the name of the operation "Sledgehammer"

loved the video. Wish you had said "Philip the Second" rather than "Philip two" but aside from that very good

It also needs to be mentioned that Alexander never went anywhere with more than 30, 000 of his own troops. He may have had help from allies but he only kept about 30, 000 Greeks because he knew their formation and because he fought with them and he trusted them. When engaged against the Persians, the Persians could not break the phalanx formation of the Greeks and they were no match for the Greek spears even though they had 200, 000 soldiers to fight the Greeks with.

Fun fact: eastern wars an battles had more men.
But western wars an battles happened more frequently of much more violent intensity.

I still don't know why they could create swords and armor but not saddles and stirrups....it is just kind of mind boggling that it was not independently created around the world
