I just read his book, and unlike the title, he didn't build the brand all alone at all. The book taught me how important networking and finding people with same interests actually is. Sure, he believed in his brand so much that nothing could have stopped him but he also had an amazing group who did everything they could to help him execute his dream.

A key takeaway to underscore: he paid $35 to a student at a local university for a logo. I always tell my clients & partners that there's amazing talent at universities. Students are anxious to apply their budding skills, knowledge, perspective, and talents to get valuable, real world experience (outside of internships). Yet, their talents remain underutilized. They should be more included in the convo, they have alot to offer.

I am currently reading "Shoe Dog" and the only thing I got to say is that the book is a masterpiece at showing us how a normal guy from Portland became to be one of the richest and most successful humans alive. Unlike most successful people that will go on telling others about how special they are, Phil Knight tells us his whole story that starts with him struggling to keep his company "Blue Ribbon Sports" alive and ends with the actual company we know today as Nike. He shows us that the path to success isn't as easy as some think and that you will probably have to deal with a lot of problems to achieve what you want. He's a champion that dealt with so many problems when his company started out like the lawsuit that Onitsuka filed against Blue Ribbon, the competitors he faced, and even the banks that wouldn't lend him money. I believe that his book is a must-read for anyone that aspires to be successful.

I applaud you with how you promote your sponsors, most people just mention and move on but you integrate them properly into the videos. Fair play 👍🏻👍🏻

If You Have a body you are an athlete.

Your only limit is you.

No pain, no power.

Write the future.

My game is sick, Too bad it aint contagious.

Greatness has no pick.

Don't run away from challenger, run over them.

Train insane or ramain the same.

I'm busy getting stronger.

Work hard, dream big.

Pain is temporary, victory is eternal.

Evrerything you need is inside.

Success isn't give, it's earned.

And countless Nike quotes.

JUST DO IT.

Nike wouldn't have been nothing without these three elements: Micheal Jordan, Hip Hop Culture and Child labor in Vietnam especially.

The founder of Nike is a genius! He found a passion he loved and I imagine that many at the time doubted him and yet, despite the adversity he pressed on to create a great brand! Love stories like these!

Any online order from Nike has a return address of Blue Ribbon Sports to this day.

Nike didnt become "nike" in a night. it was a loooong journey. For the first 7-8 years Phil was just a shoe distributor. And he had the legendary Bowerman as a partner. But no matter what, he believed in his company and never gave up. Listened to his gut feeling. Amazing story. I recommend everyone to read his book.

Nice story of Phil Knight the founder of Nike. Few people succeed without help in life, Phil Knight received help from Japanese shoe businessman Onitsuka and track and field coach Bill Bowerman. The signing of Basketball superstar michael Jordan and the creation of the Nike Air Jordan line turned nike into a billion dollar corporations.

Jordan was the turning point for Nike
They gave him everything they had
If he went to addidas
Nike would’ve been crushed

I read "Shoe Dog", Nike was a team effort, not a one person show, a lot of people helped Phil a long way in his pursuit.

Starting as a reseller/distributor.. Building connections and saving money. Once he saved a lot he uses the ideas and buid his own brand. This will take great guts and marketing strategy. He is surely an awesome businessman. 👌

Phil tells of much more complicated and a 13 year struggle in his book than described in this audio. Steve Prefontaine was vitally important in the track world and Bowemann
created his shoe - the waffle shoe.

I am new to cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin, but I am very interested and curious to start investing in it, although I do feel this is kind of late now. Can anyone tell me what I need to do?

You know, mass production with a proper management (via advertising and more) and free from debt (unless in an emergency situation)
