hi general statement - the people i drew in my video do not represent anyone in particular; their character designs are purposely random and do not reflect the appearance of actual people i've dated and how they look. the breakup story details are left purposely vague as the point of this video is to help you, the viewer, process a breakup, NOT to bash anyone i've dated. do not bother / interrogate / god forbid, hunt anyone down and claim to do so "on my behalf"-- that is cruel, that is disgusting, and i outright discourage it and disown any "fan" doing this.

The way Illy used the chapstick as an indicator for feeling hit really hard. It was seriously a beautiful way to put it! This is an amazing video!

You almost got me crying at the end, and not just because my divorce still hurts almost a year later. You make super relatable content and I really appreciate it.

I watched this first while in a relationship. It terrified me, because I knew it wasn't going to work, no matter how hard I tried. Now I'm back and it still hurts so much. I'm so scared now that I'm alone.

You can feel a slight vibration in her voice, it just tells you how sincere it is and it hits even harder

10:08 I love how she adds all of the characters in the background, but my favourite is this one of Lumity ❤️

The whole "you'll find love when you stop looking for it" thing is something I roll my eyes at. I met my wife while we were both actively looking for a partner. If I had stopped looking, we'd never have met. I used to hear this one a lot, but I never gave it much thought until after I met my wife. She's also the only romantic partner I've ever had, or could ever want to be with.

The fact that the dinner date part with Lumity in the background is most replayed- I love all the little things you add in these videos!

This hit me so hard.
Two weeks ago I had my first real breakup, with the first and only person I have ever loved. We held each other when it happened, bawled with each other. It was ten years in the making and we had to say we couldn’t be in each others lives when our families had been close since we were 8 years old. I always convinced myself he was The One, that I would never fall in love again because I didn’t need to! He was my only option, but that was a good thing! He was my entire personality, and identity, my love, and my world. And if that sounds a bit toxic it wasn’t even the reason we split up, it got more complicated than that. But I won’t get into it.

My point is we still DESPERATELY love each other and want to be together.
And ALL breakup media I am recommended is all “they decided to leave you.” / “In the end you weren’t important to them.” / “It’s ok to be angry.” / “calm down and remember how horrible they were to you.” Etc…
This video was the very first piece of media in two weeks of doing NOTHING but sleeping and consuming media, that has even *mentioned* breakups where both people are still in love. Where you part on good terms, even if it’s sore or hurts. Where you don’t want to call them an ex because that makes people want to trash on them and you don’t want that.

The ‘I don’t see a future with you’ actually hit home for me. While it didn’t happen to ME personally, it happened to my mother a couple years ago on Christmas🥺

I really appreciated the talk near the end about how leaving, can be better. And healthier. I loved my last partner, but we were different. I wanted them to be happy. And not settle. Sometimes staying is not the ultimate form of love. Leaving is. As hard and as painful as it can be.

I might not use this for romantic relationships but this is still seems like good advise for ‘breaking up’ with a friend.

10:07 Who noticed "Amity and Luz" in the background?
Best couple ever! 😅❤❤

that last part broke me. you honestly portrayed how it feels to still love the person you’ve broken up with, even if they want to end things with you. breaking up really sucks, and i hope you’re ok.

you've gained my absolutely full respect for putting Luz and Amity there.

I'm aromantic so I can't really relate to the romantic relationships troubles, but I think this advice can be applied to any relationship, platonic, romantic or otherwise.

I watched this video three months ago, going into my first relationship. I’m watching it now after coming out of my first relationship. I’m crying.
