There's no such thing as quiet quitting.
Companies got used to employees to do more than what they are paid to.
Now, people just do what they're paid to do, nothing less, nothing more.

Love that perspective; a lot of us agree.
However, the quiet quitting came after you’ve gained perspective and experienced the lie.
The question is perfect for adults in the same age group or older.
How do we address this to the rebellious teenagers currently feeling the same with the current situation only within the educational system?
The educational system isn’t kind nor is it directed to the neurodivergent.

Hard to balance work and family but you have to choose and pick your priorities

Your goals, aspirations, life in general, is more important than money, BUT, when you're screwed over by the government and have to live with 5 dollars for 2 weeks, your life is your bank account. You need money to ignore money.

Still not sure what she did? Is she in the same job but happier? Boss invites to the meeting and she skips the meeting? Or she dropped the job and hangs out with nice people?

I got sacked as a program developer recently and my life has been so much better. They were nice about it and I was more than ready to get out. About to go to college for Cybersecurity.

One good old school recession will stop all of the nonsense. When massive government spending comes to an end and unemployment is 9% for couple years reality will come crashing down on the young lady.

Welcome to Corporate America. I work for a house hold name Fortune 10 company. We experience the same cult like work environment. The managers call themselves in 3rd person "The Leadership". "The Business". It's prety funny actually.

These corporations get you on salary, and then cram 80hrs a week of work onto you. If you complain, you become a target. Working just a normal 40hr week schedule will get you walked out the door...with zero repercussions. Here in California we're an "At Will" state. The Corporation can walk you out the door anytime they want without reason.
You either learn how to maneuver the Corporate environment and deal with it or you die. Its just how it is.

You should look for a new job and just quit. Quiet quitting will get you fired.
