Is crazy how the employer ask everyone to go above and beyond and you never get nothing in exchange

It's not quitting if I'm still there. It's called "Working your Wage". - Message to the industry leaders.

I love how my work always says "well you should be more flexible"
But when the tables are turned.... Turns out that flexibility only goes one way

“Quiet quitting” sounds like something that a corporate suit would say to explain why an employee refuses to go “above and beyond”

Lmfao. I went above and beyond for my current company! Didn't get any recognition so I switched to Night Shift and now I sleep and wake up 1 hour before day shift arrives and clean up and go home and get paid the Finesse these companies like they finesse you!!! Lmao...

I show up only enough to not get fired. Never quit.

Lmao I thought “quiet quitting” was quitting without giving notice. These employers are really entitled

I USED to be a cashier until corporate decided to change my job to self checkout repair man. As a cashier I had several other duties but now my only priority is self checkout maintenance. And my store is SLOW so 90% of the time I’m literally just standing there so when my main manager tried to complain for me to not just stand there I told him he shouldn’t have changed my job 🤷🏾‍♂️

And when you go above and beyond for your job the managers say "Well yeah, that's what was expected of you why should you be rewarded for that?"
A friend of mine got yelled at work because he didn't work on his free time there.

You pay me $16.00 an hour. I’m gonna care $16.00 an hour. Don’t pay me $16.00 and expect $25.00 an hour in work from me!

I’ve had it with insufferable employers. I work for myself now. I work when I want, I sleep when I want, I pay my bills. I encourage others to try and do the same.

I don't understand how quiet quitting is a new phenomenon. 90% of the people I've worked with for the past 20 years don't even bother to do the minimum.

One time I went above and beyond because it wad my first serious job. For awhile I was the go to guy. Then all that extra work finally caught up to me. I was slipping started to cut corners. My manager who had been treating me like gold did a whole 180 on me. Learned a valuable lesson tho. Work your wage. Don't break your back for a company who has your replacement on stand by.

I've been working with younger people lately who quite quit. Management doesn't do anything about it so, I joined the group.

I swear the “don’t ask for something for nothing” only applies to the poor line HIT DIFFERENT

When I first heard the term "quiet quitting, " I thought it was when you just stop showing up to work. Like, you quit without saying anything.

When I found out what "quiet quitting" actually was, I just thought.... that's called doing your job.

They want you to go above and beyond for the promise of advancement where they will continue to expect above and beyond behavior but even more so now because they think you owe them when it's the exact opposite.
