My Gen Z worker is perfectly happy, hired him on the spot a year ago. He's Happ because I pay him a decent wage, I give him paid time off, I listen to his needs and inputs, I give him a degree of control. That's it... Doesnt take much.

"Nobody wants to work" is typically said by employers while they sort through resumés during a staff shortage; not calling any of the applicants back because they "don't have enough experience" to be employed.

What i seen is that millennials were promised a bright future that never happened. Well, genz was never promised one

My mom is the gold standard, did everything right for the american dream. She has been the only one in my entire, pretty large, immediate family to go to collage. She has a masters. We were homeless when I was only 4, she worked so hard to fix that, and eventually got a job at one of the places that had helped us. I saw her go into work with a fever once because she nearly never calls off, shes also almost always early. Id met her co workers and boss and they all had nothing but good things to say about her. Theyd even been to our house before, given christmas cards, etc.

They laid her off when I was around 20ish, because she didnt have seniority. All my mom had done, down the drain, because someone else was hired before her. She eventually got it back when the budget increased, but I will never forget how depressed my mom was. I will never have a shred of loyalty to a workplace, because they dont give a shit about me, or my mom, or anyone else.

As a genX, yea, we got completly screwed. Wages have not kept up with inflation for basically our entire lifetime, so we got to see the decline. From "I can afford a house with just above minimum wage" to "I can't even eat working 2 full time minimum wage jobs"

And gen Z as it even worst than we do.
