Fitness trackers aren't just for physical fitness nowadays, but for mental fitness thanks to the focus of Heart Rate variability (HRV). I talk about some research being done with HRV, and my personal experience helping to improve my overall high HRV metrics.

Hey dude, this is an amazing share. Really powerful.

My HRV is low 20's, and recently been diagnosed with PTSD.

Going to get after my MH and focus on HRV as a measure of health.

My RHR is 56. But I'm overweight and not where I want to be fitness wise.

Your Dad did well. He must be proud.

This is the first video of yours that I watched, and you can consider me a lifetime subscriber! I wish more folks talked about mental health. I can’t wait to find the podcast!

Commenting for the algorithm interaction, but just setting mini goals and accomplishing them has helped me the most. Anything from fitness goals to daily life has helped me, and being more accountable.

This is interesting. I was just going through video reviews about whoop again to decide if I run it alongside my garmin Fenix 7, and I found your video. Since covid at Xmas, I noticed my HRV just isn’t where it was before.

Physically I’m fine and wondered why my HRV hasn’t gone back to where it was.
I have been really suffering with my PTSD and depression in recent week and just been signed off for some time.
It will be interesting to see if my HRV improves over time whilst I sort myself out.

Great video

wow to see where your hrv started to where it is now is inspiring. I would say mine is low *mainly* because of mental health - to be able to see how triggers have affected me physiologically has been not fun but very enlightening. thank you for this video!

I don’t understand journaling at all. My therapist kept recommending it to me but never explained what I’m supposed to write. Therefore I don’t get it and I’ve never done it.
