I discovered fasting years ago. Last month, we had our annual physical exam in our school, coz I'm a teacher, and my lab results all came back negative. All the teachers who have been saying to me that fasting was bad were all shocked. Meanwhile, all of them got positive results in their lab results. Some from their urine, some from their blood and the others, something wrong with their hearts. I thank God that people like Dr. Jason Fung still exists in this world. God bless you Dr. Jason Fung!!! Love, from the Philippines

Wow what perfect timing. I'm on a 48 hr fast. My last meal was Friday at 3pm and all I've been thinking about today is what I'm gonna eat to break my fast later. Great video as always Dr Fung. I have actually been eating One Meal A Day for over 4 years now. I started July 15. 2017 I am in the best shape of my life. I used to wear size 34" waist jeans now I'm 28". You are a huge reason why I started Intermittent Fasting 4 years ago. You have changed my life and inspired me to make videos of my own journey to help others. I have a mountain bike channel but have made a few Intermittent Fasting videos to help other mountain bikers. Thank you again for everything that you do 🙏🙏🙏

Day 9, lost 11.4 lbs. 21 days to go. Water, bone broth, green tea, celery juice, electrolytes, potassium, vites, magnesium, light exercise, positive attitude, commitment, save money. Thrilled to bits.will ease back to food. Alternate days of fasting. Eventual goal is one meal a day(omad). Was doing this previously, fasting was to reach weigh faster then will maintain with omad. So happy, so worth it. If you think you cannot do fasting then you can't. if you think you can, then it's worth trying. Try one day at a time. I started with 1 day, then 3 days, then 7. Now going for 30.
This is for health. Am 66 and do not drink, smoke or prescription drugs. Normal blood pressure. Want to go like this for another 25 years.
Was going to end off with good luck, but it's not luck, it's determination and effort to reach my goal. I want to be my best, do my best, and I will have the best. You can too.

I’m so happy I stumbled on to a Jason Fung video about fasting and Type I I diabetes! I think it’s saved my life literally. Diagnosed with type 2 diabetes about 13-15 years ago, my doctor told me I would have diabetes for the rest of my life. Prescribed several medications including synthetic insulin, metformin and others. I probably followed his advice for about 8 or 9 years and felt miserable the whole time. YouTube had a video from Jason Fung about obesity and type 2 diabetes that I stumbled upon and it was the first thing that I ever heard or read about that made complete sense to me. I couldn’t understand why I kept gaining weight even though I was eating the lame dietary recommendations from the doctor and the weight loss industry. My eyes were finally opened hearing what Dr Fung was explaining. My A1C went from 12 to 5.9 after doing some intermittent fasting and several longer term fasts. I’ve gone as long as 14 days a few times and felt fantastic. The longer term fasts seem to work best for me. I no longer take any diabetes medication and am consistently losing weight. Still have a ways to go to get to my ideal weight but I feel so much better not being on that medication. The doctor I was seeing left his practice for 6 months to hike the Pacific Crest trail and I was forced to find another doctor. I’m a Veteran from the Viet Nam era and ended up utilizing my VA benefits for medical. Unfortunately the VA still to this day prescribes Insulin, Metformin, etc…to Type 2 diabetics and promotes a low fat diet for weight loss. WRONG!!! So glad I found Jason Fung on YouTube! I think it’s saved my life! Thank you Dr Fung!!!

I've been doing OMAD since February. I can't stand eating several meals a day now. I didn't realize how bad i felt until I tried eating several times one day. I feel so much better doing omad.

This channel rises above other health channels in that it gifts us with fresh, newer, unique info. Many of the others either overly repeat topics or overly copy each other.

My sister used to have swollen feet, i suggested her to omad ( Not keto) to lower insulin after listening the obesity code (dr fung said insulin will signal kidneys to retain body fluid ), within 2 days all bloating has gone away. That’s amazing!

Wow I’ve watched quite a few videos about fasting over the months and you’re the first one I’ve come across that talks about psychological hunger vs physical hunger. Such intriguing information! Makes sense now why every time I fast, although I’m not feeling hungry I’m always watching recipe videos or food vlogs and “want” to eat really badly even though I’m not hungry. Psychological hunger can be a battle! Thank you for this insight. :)

The mental hunger and physical hunger. Reminds me of a previous video - don’t fear the hunger. 👍
