That whole "you don't want to be happy" they like to pull out is so annoying because they think everything is an attack or argument. It's like, I'm trying to communicate with you and give you the chance to ease my mind about a concerning matter, which is healthy and leads to continued happiness, but they get so defensive and angry and THAT is what causes this unhappiness. If it were a healthy relationship and nothing was actually going on, your partner would just say something like, "Oh, those snaps, that was me and Joe/Cathy being stupid" and that would be it. There would be no anger or defensiveness because it would be the truth and you both could move on from it. Letting everyone leave the encounter happy. With someone who is lying and doesn't want to get caught, it becomes a thing, suspicion grows, and then you become unhappy.

He treated me good only when he felt good or something good happened only to him. And i lived only to see him smile. Soon i was shaking and trembling every time he was near me, because i didn’t know when will be the next moment he hits me. And his family also thought this is what i deserved.
