10 plus years going through the grind of weightlifting, resulted in tired days along with many injuries to knee, back, shoulder and the list goes on..
Switched to this sort of workout 2 years ago, yoga as warm up followed by callisthenics. I am in the shape of my life with tons of energy and a physique I am happy with.
I feel everyone especially beginners can benefit massively from these workouts.

If people knew how simple it actually is to exercise properly, the fitness industry would be screwed. A pull-up bar, dip bar and some plates is all you need.

Not going to the gym since March of 2020, I’ve been doing 150 pull ups and chin ups 150 push ups every other day. I break these into 4-6 sets. On my “ off days” I ride the stationary bike for 40 minutes, augmented with seated L sits. At 64 years old I still feel pretty strong. Great video👍

A little tip that I noticed working for me at least for the total tension of the body is when you go and brag to your friends about a perfectly executed pullup for example. Especially if there's some fitness afficionados among them.
When they go "Oh yeah, then show us" you automatically go and aim for 110% perfect execution.
That's the show off mode in you kicking in and without even realizing you do the whole body tension you're doing it.
Just imagine being in the gym when an attractive woman/man comes and talk to you in mid set (yeah, don't talk to people during sets) again you automatically step up your execution and form.

You can drown in all the complicated, often contradictory fitness/workout/training information these days. Love how Matt reduces things down to simple, effective things that matter. Reminds a lot of us of the military's approach - the guys who were great at a few basic bodyweight exercises (like pushups and pullups) and could also run well were invariably the studs in everything else we did as well - rucking, obstacle courses, close quarters combat stuff, etc.

Thank a lot, I used to tell people who go to the gym that asked me how can they work a muscle in isolation? I told them that everything was connected, and that it was impossible to just isolated one particular muscle. Great explanation.

My pull up bar was one of the best things I bought this corona lock down. Bodyweight training is way underestimated imo. It obviously isnt as sexy as those fancy gym bars with the coloured weights. But that doesnt mean its not effective. Good information in the video, thank you very much.

This way will have better carryover to sports/work too. Producing force through your entire chain will also reduce chance of injury
