I’ve learned to not be embarrassed of doing one extra rep while making the goofiest most intense faces. Majority of the people at my gym do half, super, fast reps with light weight and they give me that “wtf is he doing” look. It might just be noob gains but I’ve gotten consistently stronger. If there’s anybody out there nervous or embarrassed at the gym don’t be, y’all got this!

Last two years I started to really push myself at the gym. Harder then last time! I have trained deceltly for 20+ years and got quite strong. I listened to a lot bro-science when I started in the 90's. Now I got coach Greg and other youtubers to guide me. Now I also started to track my food and immediately saw some result. Not only did I get a little bit stronger and more muscular, I also lost 80 pounds. Last year I turned 50 and now I am in much better shape then at 30. Hell, I am in better shape then 40% of those half my age where I live. 😁

The intensity ideology reminds me of Mike Mentzer's training philosophies and how he would claim to only work out 3 hours a week to maintain his physique.

I haven't watched Greg in a while but the moment this title popped up in my notifications I had to watch it this is EXACTLY what I've been fretting over cuz I've been out of the gym for a while due to health issues and I'm gonna be back for two months before I go to turkey for vacation and I wanna regain all my physique in that two months so before I even watch this video thank you Greg always substantive content

Incorporating dropsets into my workouts was a gamechanger for me, it helped me push beyond my perceived limits and do so in a time efficient manner. It can be a bit taxing on your joints, but other than that I can only recommend anyone to do them.

I used to do high volume training which would last ~2 hrs but now I love high intensity training which lasts ~1 hr. It’s easier to track too bc a lot of my working sets are to failure. Making progress too!

Another great video and although I don't lift weights myself, I am a jr. hs runner with pr's of 4:40 in the mile and 2:02 in the 800. I've been watching you since 8th grade and I can say that these tips are 100% for any sport. Pushing my limits at practice and embracing the pain are what got me to where I am today. Hard work and slowly increasing the intensity is the only reason (besides genetics) that I'm where I am today

40 minute drive to work, 10 hour work days, and no gyms close to home so I built my own power squat rack with a pulley system. I'll do my best with form (a novice at best) but we all have to start somewhere. Not looking to be a body builder just want to get into better shape at 43 years old.
