Make a fist with the vertical arm and set a shoe balanced on top of the fist and perform a get-up without dropping the shoe. Try to maintain a vertical arm or an arm transitioning to vertical throughout the get-up.

This is a great way to make sure the student knows the steps and positions and is making smooth transitions before loading the movement with the kettlebell.
