I think the real problem are hackers finding exploits to see your Recall snapshots, such as snapshots including visible passwords, social security numbers, credit card account numbers, and other sensitive data. Yes, you can turn the application off for certain programs; but, the average user won't take the time to configure it to any great extent. Inexperienced users won't even know to make changes. And, Microsoft isn't exactly known for having great security on their applications.

The problem is that it's on by default. Yes, you can turn it off, but Windows has a history of turning things back on without your consent. You can turn off telemetry with registry tweaks. They have guides step by step guides to do this.

I am using my windows pc without internet. And for the internet I will make a Linux machine. This is the safest.

Hi Gill, thanks for the video. Yes, the Recall feature might be good for those who want to use it. But I personally think this is going too far regarding privacy, so I personally think the Recall feature should be removed. But we all think differently when it comes to privacy. I wouldn't have the Recall feature on and record everything I do on the computer. Take care, Gill, and have a nice day.

Windows Recall demands an extraordinary level of trust that Microsoft hasn’t earned.

do you think Microsoft will release Windows 12 before the end of support for Windows 10??

Recall is just a bad idea in general and should be scrapped completely.

Its just a matter of trust, and i definitely do not trust microsoft. They can say whatever they want and still do it the other way secretly. And they can do it because it's not open source so not easily if at all verifiable. As far as i am concerned, i will be switching over to linux. Already got it as a secondary dual boot system next to windows 10 and am in the process of migrating right now. Our company will also stop using windows after windows 10 support ends.

I don't want the added load this will add to my system to run.

Some just want to get clicks and views with creating drama and fear.

you should mention that you need a Snapdragon chip to run it, which nobody has. Linux fans are just so happy to have something to point to while never mentioning the xz backdoor incident, they're acting desperate or what? so many switch to linux vids in my feed.

How far can I trust microshaft?

About as far as I can throw them with my pinkie finger!

It stores the snapshots for now. What is stopping them from uploading everything to one drive in the future so they can dig through your private info and do who knows what with it?!

You are being hacked right now with one drive virus turned on
