We all thought that Windows 11 24H2 would come with all the new AI features Microsoft has been talking about. However it loos like if you want to use them you will need a new PC branded with the Copilot Plus PC Sticker and it doesn't matter if you have a system that meats the system requirements.

I've been a Microsoft DOS/Windows user since the late 1980s.
None of the computers in our household is compatible with Windows 11.
It would cost a fortune to replace the 3 PCs and 1 laptop we have. (We're retired)
I've started trials of various flavours of Linux in preparation for October 2025...

Starts with a "sticker" then when there are sufficient purchases to use the new premium features, they will start charging a monthly fee.
Obviously, if you spend 1k on a PC to take advantage of these features, another $10-20 a month as a subscription would be fine...right

- When will the EU ban this and force MS to disable it by default?

- May be an idea for manufacturers to have a "Co-Pilot Banned" sticker on their PCs - at no cost to the end user.

Should buy a roll of them stickers and stick them on all the Mac computers at different stores. Maybe save one for my wife, she remembers everything.

I am sure Microsoft is making this exclusive for now because these features are half baked and will require a ton of work to get fixed up. They will probably make it available to PCs that technically meet the requirements later.

The audio clarity thing, there are plenty of programs that you can already do that with, without needing a special AI part of your cpu.
