1. Sit deeper as you can in your lower position;
2. Find comfortable position of your foots and laps;
3. Stand up;
4. Yeap, this is your optimal position for squats, cause you have comfortable position in the lowest part of it.

Facts doing a straight squat doesn't give you the best alignment driving the knees outward a bit gives you a better stable force for better impact

It’s really to get the femurs out of the way of your hips and torso, prevents hip impingement and increases ROM
