This is cause by electrolytes imbalance, not the ketogenic diet.

It’s sad that this lazy ass journalism is what educates humanity, it's really sad..
Not only was the most inaccurate way to perform a study here in a questionnaire format but they completely misrepresented what a low carb diet is.. The study refers to. low carb as someone who takes in 48% of their daily caloric intake in carbs, well reality for anyone on a true low carb diet is 5%..
This is desperation from the anti keto. community that stand to lose money from it's success.. That would be the sugar and corn. industry and big pharma, who knows this show may be getting paid as well..

I have had major heart palpitations during my five weeks on keto. They say it’s not for everyone. I have a heart murmur, and I don’t think it’s a good diet for me. I’m going to sorely increase my carbs to incorporate beans and a little fruit. I just can’t do all the fat and animal protein. My body is not responding well.

14, 000 people had to remember what they ate over a 22 year span and had them fill out a food questionnaire. That’s the study???? Boom, that’s all the proof I need lmfao

I really tried sticking with the keto, but I just felt awful and it is also really difficult to adhere to. Then I tried the Agoge diet and it was life changing, I highly recommend it to everybody.

If you cut any carbs, cut added sugar (except for fruit). You will be shocked how effective it is

The keto diet requires supplementing with electrolytes. You loose alot of water weight and with that comes potassium, magnesium and sodium. Therefore the side effect of palpitations.
It's not unhealthy if you correctly supplement with electrolytes.

My own experience suggests that the keto diet is over-hyped. A good diet shoould be easy to follow and be healthy. Agoge diet is a good option, I lost a lot of persistent belly fat.

A confused mind always says 'no'.
Confuse enough people and it might be possible to bury this Keto stuff upsets the profits from big pharma and the food industry.
I've done Keto for ten months and lost almost 90 pounds - I ain't going back.

Actually this is true for me. During my fasting stages I get ectopic heartbeats and disappear once I eat. So fasting DOES affect heart rhythm.

Happened to me - paleo diet, now and still atrial fib. I do believe it's Electrolytes but for me also adrenals were already triggered and the paleo diet just tipped me over the edge.

I hate these <3min coverage (lack of) on such important health subjects. Irresponsible reporting. Headline-grabbing attention ONLY! One more of these irresponsible segments, I will be not watching this "morning edutainment news" program!

A food questionnaire is not considered a test study. A keto diet is 5%-20% total calories. This study says 44%.
