I am a kidney transplant recipient. I’m on meat based keto for 2 years now and the kidney has improved when compared to carbohydrates diet.

I don't know why people are so against keto, yet they think it's not dangerous to consume oreos and donuts.

I don't ask questions of my "health care provider" any more. I fired him. Worthless.

I told my nurse practitioner that I was on Keto. He said “that’s too hard on your kidneys!” I said, “well, diabetes is pretty hard on your kidneys, too. I’ll take my chances with keto.”😏

I have been on Low Carb/Keto for 4 years now and I'm still here, never felt better, no kidney problems.

Thousands die a day due to high sugar intake and high carbs and no one bats an eye. Someone die because they supposedly were on keto, and it's news! I love it... lol

My kidneys failed after taking an arthritis medication for 5 months. My levels dropped to the lower level of stage 3B . 2 years later with little improvements I went keto for other health reasons, in 6 months labs showed improvements, in one year Im in the very top of stage 3A. Dr. Is very pleased and amazed but advised against the diet in the beginning. I followed Dr. Berry’s advice and videos with great success. Thank you Dr. Berry!

My daughter- in-law is Alaskan native. Her people have eaten little other than meat for generations. Her people would not exist if this way of eating caused kidney damage.

It is my understanding that Dr. Jason Fung, whom I also follow, started as a kidney doctor in Canada. Instead of just giving medicine for the kidney he decided to study "what causes kidney problems". That lead him to all his work on Keto and fasting. He cured a lot of patients and give many talks on Keto and fasting

I've been on KETO and Carnivoire and Ketovoire for 11 months. I almost never eat more than 15 carbs, usually around 10 per day. I've lost 81 pounds, my blood sugar fell from fasting 240 medicated to fasting 102 and I'm taking no meds. I have one kidney, and it is bad. Since KETO, my kidney function has gone up from 46 to 54. My doctor can't believe it. He says he needs to go back to Med school and start over.

It should be noted that the Indian media is biased against meat consumption because India has the largest percentage of vegetarians of any country, and this adherence to vegetarianism is the result of religious beliefs and cultural taboos against meat consumption. Hence, by falsely associating protein consumption in this actress's death, which by implication is vilifying meat, they forward their plant based agenda.

Greatings from Denmark 😃 My 74 year old mother had her bladder removed a few years ago due to cancer. She now has a urostomy and therefore gets her kidney function checked every year, and after she started on keto, her results have gotten better and better. In fact, her doctors may not quite believe it's right. She does’t tell her doctors that she is on keto, because she does’t bother to discuss with the them. She has also been diagnosed with diabetes 2 but is now free of medication.

I've been on Keto for three years and I had a kidney removed because it had Stage Three Clear Cell Carcinoma. I also had a cyst on my other kidney and 1/3 of it had to be removed. I'm living on 2/3 of a kidney and have had no problems. My doctor is slowly coming around to the Keto Diet (Way of life for me) and is learning how it works.

Thank you for this! My 80 year old mom is stage 4 kidney failure, a life long sugar addict, and her doctor told her that it doesn't matter what she eats. I can't wait to show her this video! I will be accompanying her to her next kidney appt and will be sure to print out those study links to take along!

I was on dialysis when I started eating Keto. I had type II diabetes, heart trouble, high blood pressure, weighed 300lbs with a height of 5' 8", I was and remain incontinent. I lost weight faster than the dialysis machine could take it off of me. Dialysis made me miserable so I stopped going to the clinic. My treatments had not stopped from urinating so I stopped attendance at the clinic before kidneys stopped working. My nephrologist warned me that I was running toward a cliff in the dark, but I hated dialysis and him so badly that I fired him and the clinic. That was a year ago and I have not run over the edge of that cliff yet.

Coincidentally, I was just looking at my lab results today. My creatinine blood test has gone from 1.32 mg/dL (too high) down to 0.99 mg/dL (in the healthy range). I have been low carb for 9 months and have lost 50 lbs.
