InPresence 0038: Dream Possibilities with Jeffrey Mishlove

InPresence host, Jeffrey Mishlove, PhD, is author of The Roots of Consciousness, Psi Development Systems, and The PK Man. Between 1986 and 2002 he hosted and co-produced the original Thinking Allowed public television series. He is the recipient of the only doctoral diploma in "parapsychology" ever awarded by an accredited university (University of California, Berkeley, 1980). For many years he served as president of the non-profit Intuition Network, an organization dedicated to creating a world in which all people were supported and encouraged in developing inner intuitive abilities.

Here he shares two poems that came to him in dreams -- about the Russian psychic, Wolf Messing, and about the gods of ancient Egypt. The dreams were very vivid, and upon awakening Jeffrey understood that he would be able to write the poems down -- which he did. He realizes that one cannot force dreams to produce poems. However, the key is to be ready when the dream offers such an opportunity.

There once was a psi-ologist named Jeffrey,
Who practiced Socratic midwifery.
Whether living or dead,
He held in his head
Historical facts
and Mystical acts
To discuss with his guests:
Thoughts, concepts, and quests,
Right on point
and around the periphery.

(Please be gentle with me, Superconsciousness!)

Incredible Jeffery! Made my morning...
Gypsies always seem to be at the root of mystical things... We should examine them more and see what it brings...

Gosh Jeffrey, your dreamt of poems are truly brilliant. I read a little bit about the Russian mystic Wolf Messing and did not know that gypsies' gems facilitated of his powers. For you to have had the dream of the poem about Isis and Osiris the night following your visit to the Egyptian temple must have made your trip all the more amazing. Waking life is no less magical than stories and dreams. Thank you.

I'm glad you feel so confident your dreams have led you to the fulfillment of your goals. I can assure you that your dreams didn't spontaneously arise from your subconscious.

Dr. Mishlove, was wondering have you ever had Dr. Radin on? Not sure if you have, nevertheless, would love to see you have him on the program, discussing the Mystical & Magical side of life, along with PSI, of course!!

This morning I had the idea for a story about an art critic who lost his sight after a violent assault. He kept on writing his art criticism with help from his wife. Rather than it causing any problems it made him more popular with artists. It wasn't a dream exactly but I was half awake. I can't say that it has any deep meaning or originality but it's somewhat similar to the story of Osiris.

I always find my vivid dreams to be ones that have a lot to teach me. They have shown me my inner fears, my true beliefs and how I can improve. I love your videos, your smile beams out from the screen with a universal love. I hope many more people find your content and can heal themselves through your messages.

"Isis grabbed that penis with all of her might!" That is too funny, Jeffrey. I cannot believe you just said that. I did enjoy your poems.

That made my day! A parapsychology poem was definitely something that was still missing. :-)

Great!! How wonderful to recall those poems after dreaming them. I have difficulty simply remembering what a dream was a about.... let alone memorising so many words. The poems instantly brought Dr Seuss to mind. If there was a 'guide' involved in these dreams, perhaps it was him ! And thanks for making me aware of Messing.... I must do some research.

Amazing to remember all those words, I've had similar dreams with song lyrics or music I've never heard before. The last bit "will you be ready when it comes" was a bit ominous. ;)

Very nice, Jeffrey! I am a poet myself. And I use the same style for most of them!
