InPresence 0086: Life Is But A Dream

InPresence host, Jeffrey Mishlove, PhD, is author of The Roots of Consciousness, Psi Development Systems, and The PK Man. Between 1986 and 2002 he hosted and co-produced the original Thinking Allowed public television series. He is the recipient of the only doctoral diploma in "parapsychology" ever awarded by an accredited university (University of California, Berkeley, 1980). For many years he served as president of the non-profit Intuition Network, an organization dedicated to creating a world in which all people were supported and encouraged in developing inner intuitive abilities.

Here he reflects on the idea that "we are the stuff that dreams are made of". He notes that the line comes from Prospero, the magus in Shakespeare's great play, The Tempest. Shakespeare was influenced by the Hermetic tradition and, it seems, meant the line to be taken seriously. Jeff also refers to an online course in Tibetan dream yoga, that emphasizes the same idea. If one considers the parapsychological data on reincarnation, life perhaps is much like a dream.

We're here, Dr. Mishlove. Enjoy your attitudes, or beliefs from your events. I'm enjoying the confluence and constitution called you, , , continually. Always! I've enjoyed every one of your public exaltations here. THANK YOU! Nothing unnecessary here, which you've provided. Thinking allowed, is thinking out loud. The mirror you're providing here should reflect an intact and sentient reflection. I hope this is a clear reflection how much it is enjoyed by me and how much I'm absorbing these contemplations. A mirror facing a mirror goes infinitely in the reflection. Wouldn't it be wonderful to reflect a smile, infinitely??? :-) I'm smiling your direction. Thank you.

I often realize that I am in a "waking dream".  Your idea that this life is a dream we are having is beautiful to me. Now, when I pass on from this body I will be imagining (and hoping) that I am about to wake up to another experience :)

The process of living in a physical body by day, and etheric or astral body during sleep means we are always experiencing and learning as we paddle upstream. Hopefully, we are also becoming master creators of our reality.
Live, love, laugh. Life IS but a dream. 😊

Upon herniating my disc I asked myself, "Why did I include this in my resume"
I did realize that I was getting weary of everyone asking me to help them do physically demanding tasks.
So...I provided myself with a documented limitation that serves as protection.
I am now dreaming myself to be a stronger person that just says 'NO' rather than impairing myself as a reason to avoid their butt-busting requests. Lol

"Life is but a dream" is a tenth-rate literary trope meant to describe the pleasant feeling of unreality one can experience on a beautiful day, not a truth to guide your life by. Reality is also very real and becomes violently angry when ignored. "Sleepers, awake!"

Does "This is a dream" imply that we live in a
Simulated Reality?

dori lila open the gate remove the veil I AM OF THE LIGHT lol ! it ain't a matter of dying and or being dead ... my friend . it's more of a matter of fashioning an illusion of well being through that experience of death, to die without dying, to live an existence with complete understanding of the "all" that is. to fill an infinite void with loving light of love you love your series !

According to Phillip k Dick, and Neville Goddard, and maybe Bob Monroe it is all worlds within worlds that you can wake in each level if you can focus on the thing you're touching.

One who is enchanted with the personality of a teacher may not become aware of the gaps in his
theory, while those who are not enchanted will see only the gaps and not the fragments of truth.
For his followers, Buddha is a buddha, an enlightened one – but for others he creates confusion
because they see only the gaps. If you join all the gaps together it becomes destructive, but if you
join all the fragments of truth together, it can become a foundation for your transformation.

I am your fan, Dr. Mishlove. In my long life I never had one, yet, here we are. I have a question. Do you know why, when I try to remember an event I sometimes see it in first person point, literally through my eyes, and other times from above, observing myself. If you had discussed similar topic earlier, please set me in a right direction. Love.

to convince them
that you are,
