InPresence 0243: The God Horus

Jeffrey Mishlove describes a series of events, going back to the 1970s and into the present day, in which unusual events involving hawks appear to evoke the archetypal god Horus. These events are associated with UFO sightings, psychic powers, healing, and ominous warnings. The events include descriptions by Andrija Puharich of his interactions with the Israeli psychic, Uri Geller. Also implicated is the prominent psychic, Ray Stanford, twin brother of the parapsychologist, Rex Stanford. These events are probably best understood in the context of Jeffrey's concept of "archetypal synchronistic resonance."

New Thinking Allowed host, Jeffrey Mishlove, PhD, is author of The Roots of Consciousness, Psi Development Systems, and The PK Man. Between 1986 and 2002 he hosted and co-produced the original Thinking Allowed public television series. He is the recipient of the only doctoral diploma in "parapsychology" ever awarded by an accredited university (University of California, Berkeley, 1980). He is also the Grand Prize winner of the 2021 Bigelow Institute essay competition regarding the best evidence for survival of human consciousness after permanent bodily death.

I really appreciated this. Thank you. When my mom died in '98, I inherited her jewelry and took a liking to her hawk ring, which I started wearing. I then started seeing hawks everywhere...got in the habit of kissing the ring. Back then, I didn't know about Horus and the underworld. I hadn't even begun using the Thoth Tarot deck, which I now regularly use. Crowley wrote about the Aeon of Horus in his Book of the Law, which he claimed to have received...We're there, it would seem, with so many other grand correlations. I'm even experiencing much synchronicity with your video, including the posted date that is is July 14, 2022 (7+14+2022=243/9)-; 243 is a very special number for me and low and behold, that is the number of this "In Presence" video! WOW!! (I realized I typed "is is" was going to change it, but how could I? So I'm adding this parenthetical note.)

In our Native American perspective, it's pretty clear that the hawk is one of your spirit animals (Horus embodying the hawk and perhaps presiding over them). That goes without saying. It's also pretty clear, it goes really deep with you, right down to the core of your being. You're quite fortunate to know and have an ongoing relationship with your sprit animal. For the future, there are all kinds of beautiful decals in many different shapes, styles and sizes that you can put on your windows to prevent birds from flying into them and injuring themselves or worse. Whitley Strieber wrote about Horus and his connection to the UFO experience in his latest book A New World. He describes an experience that happened not too far from where their summer log cabin in upstate NY used to be, in which a carpenter renovating one of their neighbors' house observed a 'Visitor' whose face transformed into the face of a hawk right before his eyes.
