TOP TIP from a senior ! Go ahead and allow the bar to stretch you at the top, When pulling down try to squeeze your shoulder blades together.

The problem with this is when I reach that final third when the bars close to my chest if I pull more I engage my forearms and shoulders

I find it easier to think of it as pulling your chest to the bar. Like a pull up

remember this doesnt hit lower lats, its more of an upper back movement. so there is no lower lat bias, do not make this a main lat movement

Genuine question: if I have near perfect form and go beyond failure yet I still feel it mostly in my shoulders and only a little in my lats, , am I doing something wrong or is that just simply because my shoulders are weaker than my back? And also does that mean I should be training my shoulders more often than my back?

I didn't feel this movement in my back until I "bent" the bar outward. And after that, my back was sore

I have a question is it better to use this type of machine for lat pulldowns? These are the wires ones, but there are other lat pulldown machines that has irreplaceable handles, is it okay to use those as well?

For lat pull-down, does the bar need to touch my chest or can I leave some space between my chest and the bar?
