STRUGGLING WITH JEALOUSY | how to handle it, avoid it, and move on from it

Hi. Jealousy is a real thing and I think it’s best if we don’t pretend that we don’t sometimes struggle with it! It helps to be honest and bring some of those feelings to light that way they can be unpacked and learned from... tori and I both have had spouts of jealousy and have learned a lot over time on how to avoid those feelings and how to rebuke them when they come! But it’s obviously easier said than done... but life is always easier said than done. Hang in there and give yourself grace. A lot of you want to do EVERYTHING right ALL the time. Which I admire! I don’t think that is a bad desire but I do believe it is unrealistic. Set small goals for yourself and be patient as you GROW. Remember a flower doesn’t go from a seed to a flower without experiencing a few storms and growing in the midst of them. Praise God that we have a love that makes us not need to be perfect like Jesus was. Praise God that we have freedom from our sin. And praise God that he has a UNIQUE journey for us all. Don’t compare your story to someone else’s. God is still writing yours!

Yess finally someone who sees the difference in finding someone attractive to being attracted to someone. Whenever I talk about this to people, they do not get it. They think finding someone good looking and being attracted to them are the same thing, but it's not. So when married couples talk about being attracted to other people, it always makes me cringe inside.

This hit me so hard. For the past 2 years of my life I felt that toxic jealousy building in me becarse of a relationship I was in, where I knew that following provocative accounts would keep me anxious and insecure. I talked about it with him, several times, and he insisted that he was capable of separating desire from just looking at the picture (can they really...?) still... I never bought it.
Now I realize that is not the real problem. The problem wasn’t if I believed that his mind won’t be invaded with those dirty desires, it should be his wish of keeping my precious heart protected, and both of us in peace.

Correct me if I’m wrong, I’d like to know your guy’s opinions.
