If your app takes too long to load, it doesn't matter how awesome it is, or that you've got a service worker setup to ensure that subsequent loads are snappy. Users will bail. One potential way to ensure a snappy first load is to combine AMP and Progressive Web Apps. AMP dramatically improves the performance of mobile sites on the web, often to the point where their load appears to be instant.

In this video, you’ll learn how to combine the best of Progressive Web Apps with AMP to create experiences that start fast, and stay fast!

I *hate* that pinch zoom is disabled with AMP. And why is it still disabled when the setting to force pinch zoom is enabled? Also, the comment section of many sites just doesn't appear when AMP is used. I end up just changing the URL to the non-AMP version most of the time so that I can actually use the site. Really bad UX.

FFS I couldn't make my site AMP because had some javascript for light share buttons and table search (basically a tiny PWA) and now you guys are making it possible? We don't have time to go back and forward on this...
