Everything in the email is absolutely true, I just quit my job at Walmart after 11 months because of this crap

Walmart took away the holiday pay. They no longer give holiday pay and they double point you for missing on holiday days.

Forcing an employee to work while sick is illegal in California. This can result in arrest and prosecution.

Sadly, I worked for Walmart a few years ago. they treat their employees like crap. I quit and found a better job. In my area, Wegmans is the BEST grocery type store to work for

We just had an outbreak of Covid among the employees. Still had to come to work at Wally World because of the sick leave policy.
So, not only did we expose each other to the illness, but we exposed our customers too.

How corrupt that the owners of Walmart are BILLIONAIRES yet the people that sustain all that wealth are treated like shit.

My experience at Target back in the day was sort of similar because of the middle management. I actually appreciated the time hacks and point systems. It was the middle management that would mistreat employees, which was amusing because they thought so highly of themselves for being managers at Target.

I’m not super proud of it, but I used to work for another large company with a comparable point system and I came to work a few times with a fever. This is when I was in college though so I knew those points were valuable if I wanted to call off to study or for some event

I quit that job in October 2019, I am so glad I got out before covid started.

If they want to get rid of their good employees over stupid policies, then I hope they go out of business. My suspicion is that they have that policy in order to get rid of the bad employees, but they can't say it like that. If I was manager, then I would just give a pass on the good employees. The managers that follow that rule to to letter are not good managers, they should be able to read between the lines.

If I was placed in that situation I would not hide my symptoms and I would make sure everyone that I come in contact with knows.

📍Nice video, love how you take your time to educate your viewers. Right now, I am enjoying a good life and touring round the world with what I made investing. Indeed, building a Portfolio income(investing) through a licensed investment adviser is one out of many ways to earn passive income.

Walmart is the WORST company I have ever worked for. Maybe just the store near me, but management has made various employees cry on the daily due to harassment. (Cashiers) As someone on disability and working part time, going to work in extreme pain is common. Yes, we are told to come to work with a fever. The point system is true, as is the good for nothing 'discount'. I worked for Big Lots years ago and their employee discount and everything else was far better. I work at Walmart now b/c it is literally 2 minutes from my house. People have lost their jobs at Walmart b/c of missing too much work due to cancer. First hand knowledge. A friend of mine was not allowed to leave her shift during Covid because there was 'no coverage'. She was in her late 70's...and ended up going to the hospital after her shift. She passed away later that week. Truth.

He is telling the truth. He is not lying I’m here in Texas in Buda the Austin area. Got hired October 30 and got fired March 6. Because of the point system. I am very loyal worker no matter what or where I’m at. I have a medical condition and hate that I do but what do you do if it’s medical.

That is messed up. Most of my life I have worked retail. They need to learn to flex if they want to keep a staff. That includes treating people right. Hang in there to the retail workers. Remember who was an essential employee when they shut down the world.

Walmart, Amazon are the same. I worked with a guy at Walmart that was in a car accident, car was totaled, had a severe back injury and Walmart fired him even though he was under medical care because he had too many points for missing his shift. Walmart will rehire you after 6 mos if you were fired and it was not associated with thief. Amazon has the same point system and it resets for points in 60 days. Talking to HR about points is hopeless, people have been fired for being to ill to come too work and had to fight with HR to no avail. Amazon's automated systems fires people based on their point algorithm, sometimes a human can get involved to resolve the matter if your lucky.

My job is like that, if you are sick for up to five consecutive days. It counts as one point.

Makes sense why my discount card doesn't work on select items in the store what's the point of having it when you can't use it on all of them.
