I love how distraught Forrest looks when the president says “I’d like to see that”. Forrest knows it is not polite to show your butt to people however since he is an outstanding soldier, he saw the president as his superior and heard “I’d like to see that” as a direct order, so he did it. Great acting and even better writing!

Forrest, now an experienced combat vertern who lost a friend in war, professionally stops what he's doing when addressed by the officer and snaps to attention like a fresh GI right out of training. Forrest was a damn fine soldier.

This is based on Sammy L Davis, the real Medal of honor recipient. This was photoshopped footage of Tom Hanks's face cropped over the real heros face Sammy L Davis!! It's even the same exact video footage used in the movie. He's a real hero, look up the story! Its amazing he's still alive!! God bless you sir!!
