Also, Credit Cards are great credit builders, but ONLY if you can pay it off in full every month. Try to NOT carry a balance or else you'll start owing interest charges to these companies. We want to maximize our cash back rewards, and not have to owe credit card companies more than we have to.

Let me know some other Credit Cards you like in the comments below, and thanks for watching this video from me :)

All very good cards in my opinion! The Sapphire Preferred has been one of my favorites lately with its 1:1 point transfers and has allowed me to book multiple trips completely with points at a high redemption value. Great video Humphrey 👍

I applied for the Amex Gold Card and was approved, I prequalified for blue and gold delta as well. I had a Experian credit score of 644, with 5 late payments ( from a year ago but been paying on time for about 1.5 year now) and closed accounts (Not collections) . So don't get discourage if you are in the same range and situation, i was hesitant too but I ended up getting approved.

Huge fan of the Citi Double Cash Card and it does serve as my everyday card, but it's important to note that it DOES have a foreign transaction fee of 3%

Should mention, AMEX gold has purchase protection as well, which means you get refunded on certain items you buy if they get lost or stolen (there are stipulations), I lost my sunglasses hiking and AMEX gave me my money back

Amazing video, A friend of mine referred me to a financial adviser sometime ago and we got to talking about investment and money. I started investing with $150k and in the first 2 months, my portfolio was reading $274, 800. Crazy right!, I decided to reinvest my profit and get more interesting. For over a year we have been working together making consistent profit just bought my second home 2 weeks ago and care for my family.

Absolutely loved the video but I do have to mention something. Being someone that was once a beginner with credit cards. The segment on the chase freedom unlimited might be a little misleading. The 5% on groceries is not permanent and it is just a temp offer. Don't get the card thinking you will get locked in at 5% forever.

Love the Chase Sapphire Preferred & AMEX Gold picks, two of the best cards out there on the market. If you already have a Prime membership then also can't go wrong with the Amazon Prime card. I agree with pretty much all of your picks, except for also adding in the GOAT of no annual fee cards- Chase Freedom Flex. Great video Humphrey!

Also important to note I think, if youre active military, the chase sapphire and gold Amex annual fee is waived

I applied for the Amex Gold and absolutely love it. I go out a lot and spend hundreds at the grocery store, which both categories get 4x points. And i like how its a charge card so i don't carry a balance and makes me more cognitive of my spending in a month. The intro bonus is pretty nice too.

Great video! Regarding the Amazon Card I would mention that you need a Prime membership to get the perks of the card (roughly $120 per year).

Humphrey, I've been checking out the Chase Freedom Unlimited card and just wanted to let you know that the 5% on groceries is only for the first 12 months or $12, 000.00. After that it goes to 1.5%. Thought you might want to clarify that in your video.

Also, my credit score is already over 800, should I even consider getting another card? I already use the Bank of America Customized Cash card.

Thanks for the great videos and information.

Could you make a video on when should you close your credit card and why or why not? Short term vs long term impacts?

For the chase preferred card last year they were offering 100, 000 points for spending their amount. Also if you go to a branch when you open it, they waive the first year fee!

Hi, I got excited when you mentioned that Citi Double cash does not charge foreign transaction fee. I checked right away. It looks like they do charge 3% .

Just got the Chase Freedom Unlimited. Thanks for this video it was really helpful!

Also they offer the % back as a result of the fee you have to pay per "swipe". That is why the IRS does not tax you for bonus's on swipes.

Hey Humphrey, love the content next credit card video could you talk about the APR with each credit card I know we all hope to pay it off every month but sometimes that doesn’t happen I think it would be super helpful also a great thing about the chase freedom is no interest for the 15 months which is awesome
