Homemade Laundry Detergent 🫧
1 bar of Felt Naptha soap or Castile soap
1 cup Borax
1 cup washing soda
1 cup baking soda
20 drops essential oil (optional)
-Love the Felt Naptha soap. It’s super affordable, great for all your laundry needs including a spot remover.
-Washing soda is sodium carbonate that dissolves in water. It’s natural cleaner and great to eliminate odor.
-Baking soda it helps brighten your clothes.
-Borax is a laundry booster. It helps with removing stain and also neutralizes odor.

If they don't have super washing soda, just bake your soda in the oven at 350⁰ for 30 minutes, it will raise the pH giving you carbonate soda (washing soda) for the price of baking soda.

Why do I need baking soda if i already have washing soda?

This is the easiest tutorial I've come across. I'm trying this for the first time. 2 things I've noticed. 1) There's baking soda in the washing soda, so why add the extra cup of baking soda? The extra cup of baking soda seems to want to separate from the other ingredients after mixing. 2) 2 tablespoons doesn't seem like enough.

This does work very well but it can leave build up of residue on the washer and your clothes over time.

I am in South Africa do we get the same like borax or is it different cuz I haven't seen is borax on the shelf in South Africa cuz it would make my life so much easier if I could use the baking soda and Borax and bar of soap to clean the clothes because the stains out doesn't wanna come out after close

Please just use an actual laundry detergent. Soap is not good for washing machines or clothes. The rest is just boosters mixed together with little cleaning agents.
