definitely just do the vinegar! the conditioner will eventually ruin your clothes. white vinegar is all I use and it's been amazing for my clothes! you can definitely make a big batch cut with water, but I personally just keep a container of white vinegar with my laundry supplies

I agree that the vinegar clogs and ruins your washer overtime…. My repair man told me to stop using and the bad ingredients too. So I now use just plain distilled white vinegar with 5-7 drops of essential oil only. Works like a charm and just as good as the conditioner fabric softener etc as well as deodorizing.

I have been using a few tablespoons of vinegar in place of fabric softener every load for the last decade and my clothes have been perfectly fine. Fabric softener shortens the life of your machine and clothing, considerably. It’s a total money grab and it’s unnecessary.

I never use fabric softener. Makes no difference for my clothes.. also better for sensitive skin to just leave out softener
