That's a soap, not a detergent. Soaps are oil based, and leave films and scums behind, where detergents are water based and rinse clean. Your clothes and your machine will both thank you for not using soap in this application.

3/4 cup soap is enough for only 2-3 loads, per Dr Bronners.
