With so many calorie-counting pages and formulas out there that confuses me more than it helps. And the results are not the same or the differences are too big to be true. Which only adds to more confusion. I was glad to find your new release today, it is exactly what I was looking for and those 12 answers helped me a lot, thank you.

Could you please tell me why when I'm strictly following my calorie deficit and workouts, I gain a pound overnight? It's a downward trend, but I hate to gain a pound when I'm doing all the right things. Thank you.

Hi Michelle! I am having trouble figuring out my daily caloric intake. I am a 39 year old female, 107 lbs and 5'1. When I look at my body I consider myself "skinny fat". I strength train 4-5 times a week and walk an average of 6-7, 000 steps a day. Most calculators say I need to eat about 1500 calories a day, but I'm confused if that number is calculating the deficit in there, or I need to take away calories from the 1500? Thanks so much

Thanks for all the great videos! I’m 52, moderately active, enjoy exercise, struggled for 3+ years with weight gain, serious hot flashes, feeling crappy, lack of sleep, etc. going into menopause. decided to go on HRT and the change is dramatic. Finally feel “normal”, started tracking in My Fitness Pal and already lost almost 20 pounds, 20-30 to go.

what are your thoughts on accounting for exercise in calorie/macro tracking? I decided to not allow MFP to credit those exercise calories to my daily calories. Would this also mean I’m in more of a calorie deficit due to the exercise calories I’ve expended?

Also, at what point in weight loss journey should you recalculate your TDE and Calorie deficit?

Hi I've watch you calorie deficit and i used the caculator you posted. I caculated my body fat and it came up as 33%. I'm shocked! I How can I loose this fat? I've worked out with heavy weights for years. I'm 135lbs and my goal is to loose 5lbs. Based on this result I need to loose 10lbs. I think this would make me to thin. what do you suggest?

HELP!!! After losing 30 lbs (185 to 155) and seeing my measurements improve and my clothes fitting better I decided to up my calorie deficit count from 1630 to 1830. But I have now regained 8 lbs! I go to the gym 3 days a week and walk whenever I can throughout the day. I desperately do not want to regain that weight yet again. What would you recommend?

⁉️QUESTION— if you have a significant amount of fat to lose (50+ lbs), and you want to body recomp, should you start with a focus on a calorie deficit for fat loss first and then shift to a body recomp or start closer to maintenance to attempt a body recomp from the start? Thanks! Love your channel!❤

Im confused the amount of protein you eat should be .7-1 x your body weight. Is body weight in kilograms or pounds? Other places have said to convert to kilograms

These calculators do not work for everyone… if you can go get your metabolism measured and not calculated.
