Guided Body Scan Meditation for Beginners

Показать описание
This is a guided body scan meditation for those who are relatively new to meditation practice. We go through the body slowly, simply tuning into what is present in each part of the body. The body scan is a great introductory practice, and can help you learn to establish mindfulness in the body.

This is a practice in the First Foundation of Mindfulness. This is one way in which the Buddha instructed us to practice mindfulness. Although we traditionally do this practice in a seated posture, you can try doing a body scan while on your back, standing up, or even moving. One of the beautiful things about this practice is the ability to bring it with us into daily life!

Remember as you go through this guided meditation that you don't need to change or fix anything. Be gentle, and calmly look at each part of the body. The practice here is to observe mindfully, not to fix. Watch what is arising in each part of the body, and try to steer clear of your thoughts about what's happening.
