I will never understand how cops don't get charged for deleting video footage of these auditors. That alone should be automatic jail time.

In my opinion, if a police officer is caught attempting to delete, conceal, or tamper with evidence in order to cover up their own unlawful actions, then they should face the same legal repercussions as a citizen who's committed that same action.

Misleading title. He was not fired. He was allowed to resign, meaning he's already on a different force 40 miles up the highway

He was not fired...he was allowed to resign with benefits...a big difference

This guy is exactly why most people don’t like and misunderstand auditors that do things the right way. Nothing he did was illegal, but goddamn was it cringy, immature and confrontational.

Destroying evidence means that he isn't just incompetent. It means he KNOWS he did something wrong.

The “victim” is a jerk! He is gas lighting everyone. He is disrespectful and does not contribute to anything civilized at all. He loves being a “victim”.

I love when people say “I didn’t give you permission to film me” then walk up two feet from the camera.

He wasn't even told he was under arrest until he was tackled. You can't resist arrest if you're not even under arrest yet.

There needs to be a law to prevents police from “resigning” while under investigation. They should be able to be retroactively terminated.

Look I spent 40 years in law enforcement and private corrections. I took my oath seriously, and never allowed my ego to get involved in situations. I absolutely support first amendment auditors, and it’s frankly embarrassing that cops don’t know basic law and civil rights. I don’t however see the point it literally trying to create confrontation as he did initially by attacking the cop who up to that point had done nothing to insult or threaten the guy. I won’t even try to defend the dumb ass cop who arrested him. It’s just my opinion it wouldn’t have ever got to that point had the auditor not escalated the situation in the first place.

I was on a jury recently and argued exactly as you say, that as no evidence of suspect being informed of arrest was presented, he could not be convicted of resisting arrest.

The fact that he was able to resign which means he can still get his pension, there needs to be charges filed for evidence tampering.

That cameraman is the representation of being in the right legally but not socially or emotionally 🤣 bro was so annoying. Makes me think he really wanted all of that

Youtube channels lose credibility when they put the word "fired" on the thumbnail, when the actual word should have been "resigned."
