Qualified immunity creates moral atrocities. Equal accountability under the law.

His partner just stood there like nothing happened

This is sickening what these cops get away with. Get RID of immunity… thanks for covering this story. I applaud you reporting

How much do you want to bet all of the officers at this department now hate the officer who reported it, but somehow stand by the officer who actually hurt this guy

When a civilian lies on an official document, they're subject to a fine and or arrest. Why only fired? This criminal "cop" needs jail time with the general population

Can you imagine if there weren't cameras rolling.. this guy would still be patrolling. Do better FWPD!

Another Chief will come out and say, “ this is a rare occurrence and we won’t tolerate it. “ At least till it happens again.

What about the other officer? He is there and he did not do anything or report it either. He should be charged too!!

The older I get, the more I can’t understand why we treat each other like this.

He didn’t “shove” him to the ground, he THREW him to the ground. A simple word switch like that, makes it seem less violent! Thank god for the video and not having to go off the reporter’s words.

Fired!! That’s it?!?!? That cop should be in jail awaiting trial and a lengthy prison sentence.

Thank you to the officer that did his job by reporting this bully.

3 things cops are most afraid of: lights, cameras and the truth.

When an officer has no respect for life or hurting someone especially if that person isn't harming them, he doesn't deserve to be a cop. When will it be understood no training can change these cop hearts or minds.

The cop should be charged with felony battery! Slamming someone on the ground with their hands handcuffed behind them is lethal force and the man could have easily died. Imagine if people only got fired for committing crimes.

Whenever I hear the news a cop has met with fatal misadventure it's video like this that reminds me I couldn't care less. The police do not value human life in any way, which is why I don't value their lives in any way.

Why is alcohol even legal if its illegal to be drunk in public. This is just entrapment on a large scale

Not a matter of being fired. Criminal charges should have been filed and TCOLE should decertify him!

I bet he was fired for lying in his report, not for the violent throw.
