Dont forget, romans 8 says, "those He foreknew, He ALSO predestined!" It doesnt say, therefore He predestined because of His foreknowledge. He did them at the same time from eternity.

You've done a very good job of conveying your intense disapproval of us who loathe Calvinism and reject it as a false gospel, incompatible with the actual teachings of the Bible.

You haven't made even an attempt to address any of our arguments on their merits. All you've done is attribute motives and character flaws and a presumption of your own moral superiority for being a Calvinist apologist.

Great teachings again Fred. I for one would like you to take a deeper dive into this calvinism topic. Either I'm blind or I just have never heard of it. And for some of the other comments on here. You either get tired of being dragged and stop or continue to be dragged into the truth further. If that makes sense at all. For myself, I still find myself kicking and clawing at times. To stay where I'm at. It took many years to find that I've been pushed into a corner, with the only way to exit being to reach up. I hope that makes sense. One of the problems is that John Calvin's writings are at odds with some of his other writings on some of the points of Calvinism. As such, there are some Calvinist that hold to all 5 point of the TULIP doctrine, while others hold to only 4.

When I was saved, I knew nothing about Calvinism, Arminianism or any other "isms". I just knew that Jesus was the way to eternal life and believed that Jesus was who he said he was and that he came and died on the cross for my sins. So I put my trust in Him. And like Peter, there is no turning back because He has the words of eternal life. It is by grace through faith that we are saved and just as Jesus described in the parable of the marriage feast. The invitation was sent to all but not all accepted. It ends with many are called but few are chosen. The one that was rejected was the one who was not properly dressed, which symbolizes the one that is not clothed in the righteousness of Christ.

In the thumbnails there is a picture of Steve Lawson and I know that he does believe in predestination and the sovereignty of God. This video is in no way a slight or reflection on him as I have listened to him and am convinced he is a believer in God's word. Those that want to hate on him as well as calling the doctrine of predestination and election calvinism with a disgust in their mouths and keyboards and twist God's word are shown in the comments. Take a look at these names for they truly show how God's wrath has been taken out on them as they have no fear to contradict His holy word.

God can see the ending from the beginning because he is outside of time and can choose to look at any point in time he wishes.... It is true he has the ability to influence your behavior at any point in time but it is still you who make the choices and are responsible for the consequences.

I don't believe in the sacraments either. And I don't believe that babies go to hell, although I was unaware that Calvin did. But I still consider myself to be a Calvinist, because I agree with 4.5 out of the 5 points of TULIP (the L is half-true - in a sense Jesus died for everyone, and in another sense he only died for the Elect).

Sir, no offense but your unable to look past your own presuppositions. Romans 8:29, the word foreknow, provinosko in the Greek, is the same word Paul uses in Romans 11:2, speaking of the old testament saints. See the western view, or as your view, which is nothing more than Augustinian philosophy, which is nothing more than Manicean gnosticism, which was brought into the church in the 5th century, is a completely arrogant view, everything applies to them, which is wrong. Paul wasn't speaking of us is 8:29, he's speaking of old testament saints, context and calvinism NEVER goes together. If you've read Romans up to 8:29, you will clearly see, that Paul goes back and forth in his dialog from old testament Israel to the present church and gentiles, constantly, back and forth. Paul is clearly speaking of them that have died waiting for the promise of Christ to redeem them, that is why Christ could be the first born among/ in the middle of already existing brothers and sisters as It says in 29, read on, just like in Ephesians ch 1, the destination of everyone " in Christ" has already been decided along with the blessings that go along with it, Paul says that all who believed, in the old testament, there destination was predistinated to be redeemed by Christ, so he justified them and glorified them " that is IN the PAST " have you sir been glorified, no you haven't, it is in no way speaking about Christians today. And all through ch 9, there is not one verse that says ANYONE is predestined to salvation, only that through unorthodox means as in the older serving the younger that the promise of election would come to pass, which would bless ALL the people of earth, , not by man's traditions or works but by Grace. You and all calvinists are blinded, and trapped by doctrines of men, and you've convinced yourself of a lie because you love the doctrine, seek truth and you will find it, but you must be first willing to at least say in front of our Father, and I said our Father, because I do believe you to be a brother, just you have been deceived, that there is a possibility that you're wrong, .😊I pray you'll at least really consider this, you can get free of these horrible doctrines

So why then did God send his son to die for who So ever? And the gospel is for all men... walk softly brother, God may not have "chosen" me or you! Just bc God knows who will come to Him, it doesn't mean he causes it
