Another mistake is to push using only the heel of your hands rather than pushing using your whole hands to push off the ground. Figured this one out for myself and it improved how many I did with the fix, along with improving faster.

You dont want your pushups to be easier, you want them to be effective. Doing this isnt a mistake, its a way to engage the shoulders more than you would on a normal pushup

This is not a mistake! It's just a variation.Both push-ups are fine, hell then how do u practice for a planche push-ups?

Not a mistake. This variation is meant to help with progressing into heavy shoulder-demanding exercises such as the planche pushup and handstand pushup. Understanding when to protract, retract, and stay in neutral position though, is important. I advise to retract at the bottom and protract at the top for full range of motion since most people don’t emphasize scapular strength enough.

Look up when you do pushups straightens your back and stops you from banging your face on the floor so you can do a full pushup

Good point. I like to tell clients to focus on pushing the should blades away from each other as you push up and bring them closer together as they come down. I think also, not always trying to touch your chest to the floor and limiting rom to where comfortable but still getting good depth is important instead of bro-ing it all the way down.
