Brian, Props to you. As a DIY'er I have often struggled with the concept of blending. This video made it truly understandable for the first time! You are not only an excellent artist with paint -- you are also an exceptional teacher. Thank you.

The blend did help. Difference in colors are still very visible. Now the front door is different from the back and really off on the bumper typically bumpers are different shade all because plastic. The the sun light hit the car at end is bright once it get real light it’s be more visible. For a D.I.Y would be acceptable.

Very informative.

My drivers door has to go in to be painted and was told blending on the rear door and front quarter panel will be needed. Now I got a good idea about the process. Thanks.

Nice! Great explanation of each of the steps and why they are necessary! I can't believe how many different shades there are of the same exact paint code! Thanks for taking the time to shoot and edit this video so that it's something everyone can learn from.

I've had this problem aswell. In my case case I sprayed a light grey sealer underneath a dark grey metallic. Same situation as urs where mine painted pannels turned lighter than the rest of the car. I blended and another tip I got was to use the same color but with a darker sealer. And its was a really good match. So I guess in ur case a darker color sealer would have been good and u wouldn't have had to do a second time.
