Love this new video format. Quick, simple and to the point. It’s a good refresher for any of us who haven’t prepped or painted in awhile. 😄👍🏼

Following from Montreal Quebec.
Thanks for you painting videos. I just finished my own rust repair and paint to my civic trunk lid. Without your videos I would not have had the success that I did.

Hey Brian I like the return to basics I think it would be helpful if you went over materials to use like wax and grease removers tapes masking materials just stuff to help on prep. I used plastic once and had paint flakes blowing off into my clear.

Old video, but I noticed an issue.

When painting the quarter of the S2000 you need to remove the weather stripping that is tapped off by the cloth top.

The reason you remove it is because the quarter panel has a painted section under the weatherstripping that is overlapping.

If you forget this step you run the risk of paint peeling down the road.

Brian what’s your thoughts on using 3m scuff it and a gray scotch brite on a blend panel? The tds claims it’s good for that.

Hi! Do you need to clean surface with solvent first also on the zones you are going to apply a filler, primer or sealer to, or only the ones that are going to directly receive base/clearcoat? Thanks!

Question when you have a few rocks in the clear how far do you sand

Can we prep the base area with 320 grit followed by 400 and 600 grit respectively and prep the blend area with 800 grit?

Have any videos on blending paint on older vehicles, such as on vehicles with Acrylic Enamels?
Without a clear coat, I would imagine its a different procedure all together?

After the base coat I rattle can an acrylic lacquer clear coat on the side of a truck
4 coats. What is the minimum time to wet sand and polish? i really don't want to wait
30 -60 days like some people say
Unless it is best to. I get different time opinions and recommendations when searching
