if you stall, don’t bother restarting your engine get out and apologise to each person as traffic goes by.

I had a learner on a driving lesson stall Infront of me repeatedly at lights on an incline, I left them plenty of roll back space and honestly I didn't care one bit that they held me up and we missed the green light, not everyone behind you is an arsehole most decent people will wait and understand so don't panic about what the person behind you is thinking 💕 love to all the learners!

There's 3 of us learners right next to one another on a 3 lane one way road then suddenly the traffic light bastard went red so ho and behold all 3 of us stalled the car, literally felt like a drag race tryna get the car up and running while all of us have the same look on our faces.

I stalled 4 times on the same red light and was stuck there until i calmed down and controlled the clutch and got it down

There is NO best way to react to stalling... it’s pure shame and dignity being stepped on

Step 1: Stamp on accelerator until engine's redlining
Step 2: Slowly lift foot off clutch
Step 3: Congratulations, you're on the move

I know he won’t see this comment but having the second camera angle on his feet is SO helpful definitely earned a new subscriber

I use to drive an auto and I'd sometimes get angry at people just sitting in a lane not moving, oblivious to them most likely being a struggling stick driver.
I now have full empathy and condolences to all fellow stick users

my instructor taught me in a diesel, always made me set off with clutch alone, I knew that petrol cars required more finesse. he obviously wanted to save time not teaching me coordination. I got my own car 3 months deep into lessons and it was a 1.6 petrol focus and it really helped me get some skill and control. it made lessons easier and when my test came around I was able to apply the techniques I learned in my own car and with my instructor. I'm glad I passed like a week before my test I messed up at a ridiculously steep hill junction and my instructor came in and took the clutch off me but he didn't give enough bite, and I ended up burning the clutch to get out of the junction. he made out as if it was me who should get the clutch up higher, which was impossible as I took my foot completely off the pedal as I felt him take it. he had no confidence in me doing my test early, soon proved him wrong getting a first-time pass with 0 minors, suck it mark.

when you stall at a junction and then everyone gives way to you and you still stall three more times after😂😂the pressure of them letting you go

I once saw a learner stall 5 times in a row. She stalled when parallel parking on an incline but the examiner was okay with it. She went "sorry sorry sorry" and started the car in second gear when she slowed down and hadn't downshifted or put it in neutral. Naturally enough the car stalled, again, and again, and again. He said "We're done." and she broke down in tears. That was brutal to watch, wanted to yell to put it in neutral but I thought it was best not to.

You speak so softly, I feel like you never shout and you're probably very encouraging to the learners
