When I watched this video suddenly my mind went to the past. I used to stall when I learned how to drive manual but now I can drive so well . Stalling is a part of the learning process of manual driving. I think almost everyone who drives manual could have stalled and even well experienced drivers also stall once in a blue moon.

You are really best driving instructor, for i was googled a lot but in vain just to learn that i repeatedly stalled because as learner i put 3rd gear by mistake thinking i put it in 1st gear while starting engine, i need to practice alot on how to shift gear and avoid stalling the other day, Thank you so much🙏🎉

Best tip I can give to new drivers who are scared to stall at traffic lights/junction and such is stay on the clutch very slowly coming off it whilst moving with the accelerator and its pretty much impossible to stall it. Do this while first learning and starting out, eventually you shouldnt need to do this as over a long period of time it can wear your clutch. Safe learning! :)

This remembers me of my first auto exam, I failed in a few minutes because the examinating police officer was terrible, at the first engine stall he yelled at me "Turn on the engine!" and the story continued until I stalled the 5th time, he told me the exam was over and I was trully panicated because of him! It took me some time after to calm down!

This is why manual is fun. It give you such a powerful torque by releasing the clutch quickly while only press the gas pedal a little. It make you feels like you're in fast racing car because of the instant acceleration by sudden release clutch. Sometimes a car that has under 90hp can feels like it has 200hp+.. so its all depending on how u release the clutch as u accelerating 😅

I kept stalling from releasing too fast and never got to 2nd (my instructor was my friend and he had a month experience) and that memory haunts me because my friend and I both started smelling burnt clutch in his new car. If you are new to manual make sure you watch an animation of a manual transmission or do some studying on one to understand why it happens before potentially breaking something nice. I just didn't understand why my engine actually died.

I sometimes miss second gear since i try to be light on the gears and my fingers just slip off and it ends up in neutral and not in second and then i realise so i dont let go of the clutch i push it in all the way and go to first gear so i can restart and it just stalls for no reason at least 3 times like comming off the clutch so slowly and it still stalls until it goes back to normal

I have a problem with the handbrake, my ex instructor taught me the examinating police officer will release the handbrake and I shouldn't bother at all with it. This was his plan to make me fail even through I have good clutch control and now with my new instructor I still have the problem of forgetting to release the handbrake. About 8 months I learned to drive with my ex instructor, each time before the lesson he would release the handbrake and after the lesson would put it back. This intentional problem my ex instructor caused might make me fail almost every exam because I keep forgetting the handbrake and I stall the car even through I control the clutch correctly and I always start with first gear. Any fix for this or is this permanent?
