And then the executive dysfunction comes in and every task is urgent and important 🙃

"normal" prioritizing doesn't work for me and many ADHDers

My grandpa had a saying that really helps me, basically it's "once you start something, it's half finished". Realizing that for me and other procrastinators the biggest obstacle and energy sink is actually putting things off and not the task themselves, so once you've started it you've broken the seal

My office had a Covey class (it lasted a few days). They purchased all the material to go with it. I loved it. I learned alot. 1 being that everything CANT be priority.

Great tips! Breaking painful tasks into smaller steps helps. Then all you have to focus on is the next small step, and everything is already organized and planned out. Going to try other tips here

The one about a priority but not urgent is the one that keeps me from my goals. Labeling it that way immediately helps my mind because when everything is urgent, I can’t think and avoid the one that I want because I have so many other things that have to be done now…

I have impression that ADHD caused procrastination is different that the one anxious people struggle with.I find anxiety provoking fear of starting a task, while adhd based is rather a long, 'painful' work and struggle to complete it. Anyone've realised it too, or it's just my impression or a singular case?

Bold of you to assume I'll sit down and do these tasks, cards, and priorities. I'll just procrastinate this as well

Right but we people who have ADHD also have a huge problem prioritizing things because everything coming into the door seems like it's in Big Red letters

*Important* but, _Not Urgent_
_Not Important_ but, *Urgent*
_Not Important, _ _Not Urgent_
*Thank You so Much*
I'm going to try this. I can't get anything done. And I'm not lazy. I'm just doing a little bit of everything and, not completing, anything. Just doing a whole lot of nothing.
I'm going to try this.
You are heaven-sent. ❤️
